Management Team – Esher Cricket Club

Andrew Bernard - President

Andrew first played for the senior team in 1973, and has scored over 25,000 runs for the Club. He was skipper from 1986 to 1988, and played in the three Surrey Championship League 1st XI winning teams in 1983, 1993 and 1996. Andrew served as Chairman of the Club for a number of years, and is honoured to serve as President of the Club.

Neil McCallum - Chairman & Secretary

Neil has been a member of Esher CC for many years and joined the Management Committee as Hon. Secretary in March 2021. Both his sons enjoyed playing for the Junior sides with one son currently playing for the Academy and Senior teams.

As a former social cricketer with the London Utopers, Neil aims to add value to the club off the field rather than on it.

Nouman Hashmi - Treasurer and Chairman of Finance Committee

Nouman joined the Esher CC management committee in 2021 as Treasurer. By profession, Nouman is a Chartered Certified Accountant and has his own Accountancy Practice and a Consulting firm.

His son and daughter both play cricket at Esher CC in their respective age groups

Rachel Narinesingh- Safeguarding Officer and Chairwoman of Entertainment, Social and Communications Committee

Rachel Narinesingh is the Esher CC Safeguarding Officer and has responsibility for safeguarding / child protection across the club. Rachel is passionate about creating a supportive, welcoming environment for our young cricketers where they can thrive and enjoy the game. Her two sons both play cricket at Esher CC in their respective age group as does her husband so you will often find Rachel spectating at the club.

Dan Taylor -Chairman of Bar and Grounds Committee

Dan has been at Esher through 2 spells either side of a trip overseas for work since 2013. Representing both the first and second team, captaining the later for 2 seasons in 2021 and 22, Dan has assumed responsibility for Bar and Grounds since 2023. Prior to playing at Esher Dan spent 20 years in the lower Surrey Leagues with Merrow CC.

John Woollhead - Chairman of Capital Projects Committee

A member of Esher CC since 2002 John has held the roles of Chairman (2009 to 2013), Chairman of Youth cricket (2005 to 2012) and 2nd XI captain (2005 & 2006) at the club. John is a playing member of the MCC and previous clubs include Richmond CC, Wokingham CC, Cobham Avorians CC and Berkshire CCC in the Minor Counties Championship.

Duncan Pauline - General Manager and Director of Coaching

Duncan has been an Esher member since 1993 and held a number of playing positions within the Club. Duncan played professional cricket for Surrey, Glamorgan and Scotland having represented England at U19 level. Duncan was appointed General Manager in 2002 and combines this role with Head of Coaching at the Club, appointed in this position since 1998.

Vince Chandler - Chairman of Adult Cricket

A member of Esher CC since 2004, prior to that Vince played for Bank of England CC in the Surrey Championship for over 20 years. Vince chairs a small sub committee of the club which meets throughout each winter to ensure the club has appropriate playing strength for the following season. In addition Vince remains an active member of the MCC and XL Club, although only on the golf course.

Glenn Harrison - Chairman of Youth Cricket

Glenn is Chairman of Adult Selection and also Head of the Senior Academy

His dual role aims to provide a fluid pathway between our youth Teams into our Adult XIs.

Mark Hopkinson - Director of Boys Cricket

Mark looks after Boys cricket of around 500 members. He lives locally, is a playing member of the club and a Level 2 coach. Mark has a son who plays in the U10 age group.

Sue Da Vall - Director of Ladies Cricket

Sid Simmons - Director of Girls Senior Cricket

Sid looks after Esher girls cricket of around 150 members. He lives in Weybridge and has been a member of the club since 2018. His daughter started playing cricket over 8 years ago and currently plays in the U15 team.

Having watched his daughter develop a love for the game, Sid is keen ensure that all players reach their full potential by making it fun and enjoyable for all.

Matt Price - Director of Girls Junior Cricket

Matt became a member of the club when he moved to Esher in 2014, where both his children have represented the junior sections from U8 and he was involved in supporting their teams – as a scorer for his son’s team and since 2021, as AGM for his daughter’s age group.

In 2022, he took on the role of managing the junior girls section, helping to significantly expand and deliver the league matches program to a rapidly increasing pool of junior girl members. He supports and works closely with Sid Simmons in the overall management of the Esher Girls section.

Rob Honeybul– 1st XI Captain

Rob was appointed 1st X1 captain for the 2024 season after playing two seasons for the club after moving from Perth, Western Australia. Previous to Esher CC, Rob played 1st grade cricket for University CC in WA Premier Cricket as a wicket-keeper batsman, and also enjoyed a previous stint as an overseas professional at Bovey Tracey, in the Devon Premier League.
